Minutes of meeting 16/02/10

Present:- Rob, Phil, Sarah, Michelle, Sandra, Andy Hammersley.

Apologies:- Karen, Ellen, Andy, Ant, Sam, Mandy.

Prize Bingo Night :- Sunday March 28th @ Silverdale Working Mens Club. Tickets to be £2.50 adults including 1st game £1.50 children including 1st game. Food available on the night. Send reminder out for Eggs of players/parents.

Presentation Night :- Friday June 18th @ Silverdale Working Mens Club, details to follow.

Charity Status update :- Rob as asked Peter Plant via email to forward the forms etc... so we can get it sorted asap, otherwise he will seek out somewhere else to get the details.

Funding :- As well as the help becoming a Charity will bring, Michelle has agreed to become a contact for the club on various committees/forms, this will help because of her postcode will help us towards getting future funding. Also it was agreed that we need to get other people involved on the committee to give fresh ideas to help the running of the club. As we have had a new amount of players come into the club it was suggested that the clothing & training kit is to go back on sale on training nights starting after half-term.

CRB Checks :- As per FA rules, ALL managers/assistants must have a completed an FA CRB check or at least be going through the process before the 1st April 2010, all managers/assistants MUST return their forms & £12 to Rob asap.

Leagues :- It was disscussed about which Leagues the junior teams would be playing in next season, there are fors & against for both sides & it was agreed that because a couple of the managers were unable to attend the meeting because of prior engagements, that this subject would be discussed when all were present. Rob discussed that there will be an under 17s/18s team next season and that there was a League for them to go into, he also said that Chesterton High School having been asking for the last 18 months how they could get the club to use their facilities, he said that after various meetings with the council & the school that they had agreed to the use of the new 3G astro turf pitch for training on Tuesdays (juniors) & Thursdays (seniors) if the price was in keeping with current venues. They have also proposed that we could use one of the grass pitches for the U17s/18s, again price related.

Player Registrations :- The Cheshire Girls League have emailed Rob to say that they have extended the registration date from 31st Jan to 26th Feb, this means that the two cards that were sent in before will now be processed as well as any player that is currently training with the club. It was bought up that as there is now an inbalance of players in the u12s teams, that both managers/assistants would meet up & discuss this after training on Tuesday to transfer any players over that would help both teams to progress in the next stage of the League.
Also player recruitment is due to strat again for next season, flyers, posters etc... will be printed off & sent into the schools.after half-term.

Newsletter :- Rob bought down a format for a club newsletter & it was agreed that all things will now start going out on a monthly newsletter as well as the website.
Important dates to remember :- On 17th September, the club will be having a bumper fund raising night @ Silverdale Working Mens Club, details to follow, but please write this date in your diaries. Also, the date of the next meeting will be held on Monday 15th March at 7.30, please let Rob know if you can make it as we need to get as many people there as possible, venue will depend on those attending.
