The U14's had a great display but were unable to hold on for a point on Saturday. With only nine players they had the lead twice but lost out 4-3 in the final minutes when tired legs took their toll and just as their efforts looked like they were going to be rewarded. It was the story of this season, a reduced team far exceeding the expectations and coming away defeated but having almost achieved the near impossible. To all nine of you, thanks for your efforts you are a real credit to yourseleves for your attituide and spirit.
It ws a similar story for the U10's who had to play with two less players and lost both matches but were equal to their opponents and could easily have taken points from both games. Again, these girls are achieving amazing feats and showing remarkable spirit.
To see such commitment in all the youngsters is really amazing and makes our jobs so worthwhile - thanks to you all.
Congrats to the U16's on their first league victory, lets hope that it is the start of a long run of wins! And finally, a well deserved victory for the Ladies after going behind early on but finishing strongly.

U14's : don't forget we have no game on Saturday 12th but a cup tie on Saturday 19th December.

A reminder to everyone : next Sunday is the Xmas party. Get your tickets from training - it'll be the best way to start your Xmas week!

The U14's suffered another defeat on Saturday but possibly played one of their best games - it was a close game and we were only beaten because of the shortage of players. The spirit and commitment is evident for all to see and if trophies were won on detrmination alone, we would have already won everything this season. I can't praise you enough for keep turning up and wanting to succeed - we are improving steadily but need to field a a few more players. Ask at school or if you know anyone who might want to paly - tell them to come along.
Finally, keep going and continue to work as we are doing and, hopefully, the New Year will bring our rewards!

Everyone gave 150%!
Me and Andy were very proud!
Hopefully after Christmas, we'll keep this up and with more players, the results will come

Well done to the u12s for their results too!

The U14's faced a tough match on Saturday & so without a full team a 12-0 defeat may have been partly expected but the scoreline does not tell the full story of the game. The spirit was once more evident and we certainly gave our opponents a game, it was also good to see that some of the work from training had been taken on board & tried to be put in place. Anyone who has watched the team can see the progress that has been made from the start of the seaon, in fact we paly some excellent football at times during each game.
I would argue that there is not another team in the league who would turn up and give such effort & performances when facing extreme difficulties - & for that alone I thank you all.
I wish to thank everyone who was there on Saturday and I give special thanks to Ellie, who despite a hand injury could not play in goals but still turned up to play out & to Hannah & Selina who stepped in to the goals.

Finally congratulations to the U16s for their County Cup match victory & their fiorst clean sheet iof the season.

Could anyone who has taken photos of the players, teams or any of the events please send them to me to my email address or copy them on a disc if don't mind, its just that I am trying to build up a record of the clubs history through photos etc.... I would be very grateful, thanks.
